Built in partnership with independent grocers, for grocers.

Why We Started

Independent grocers represent the backbone of local communities—serving neighborhoods, creating jobs, and keeping dollars circulating within the local economy. Yet for years, they’ve operated at a structural disadvantage compared to national chains that have access to enterprise technology, loyalty infrastructure, and banking partnerships.

Cashberry was founded to close that gap. Our mission is to give independent grocers access to the same fintech and loyalty capabilities as the largest retailers—without the cost, complexity, or dependency on outside vendors.

Co-Designing the Platform With Grocers

From day one, Cashberry was built with independent grocers, not just for them. We worked directly with regional grocery leaders—understanding their operational realities, customer behaviors, and financial constraints.

Their feedback shaped every decision:

  • “Make it simple for my customers.” → We built automatic cashback redemption with no extra steps at checkout.

  • “Don’t add more systems to my team.” → We built a fully managed backend that requires no store-level integration or CapEx.

  • “I already have a loyalty provider.” → We built Cashberry to integrate seamlessly with existing programs like AppCard and Paytronix.

Every feature exists because an independent grocer asked for it.

A Partnership Model, Not a Vendor Relationship

Cashberry isn’t another SaaS platform that charges you to engage your customers. It’s a partnership model where Cashberry carries the cost, infrastructure, and regulatory burden, while grocers receive the benefit.

  • No platform fees.

  • No new hardware or POS requirements.

  • No risk or operational overhead.

When your customers spend, you earn. When they redeem, your store receives incremental capital from Cashberry’s rewards network.

Strength in Community

We believe community commerce works best when the technology behind it is invisible and the value stays local. That’s why Cashberry directs national advertising and cashback rewards into neighborhood stores—helping independent grocers compete on equal footing with big-box retailers.

The more grocers who join the Cashberry network, the stronger the ecosystem becomes. Each store amplifies the value of every other, creating a shared rewards network that benefits shoppers and independent businesses alike.

The Future We’re Building

Cashberry’s roadmap is shaped by ongoing feedback from our grocery partners. Whether it’s advanced reporting, custom rewards tiers, or deeper data insights, every new capability will be co-developed with the people who use it most.
